Vaelinya is being built as a living world, but not as a loose or careless one.
The Vaelinya Canon Oracle
As the stories, language, rituals, creatures, maps, and canon notes grow, the project will need a reliable way to search and protect its own material.
For that reason, Vaelinya is being prepared for a future document-based AI system: the Vaelinya Canon Oracle.
This kind of system is often called RAG, or retrieval-augmented generation. In simple terms, it means an AI assistant answers from selected documents instead of guessing from memory.
What it will do
The Canon Oracle will not invent canon by itself. Its purpose will be to search official Vaelinya documents and help answer questions from the existing world.
- check whether a new idea fits established canon
- help writers find relevant lore before writing
- answer questions about Vaelinyan culture, language, creatures, places, and rituals
- prevent contradictions between stories and worldbuilding notes
- support future teaching materials, guides, and Writer’s Commons resources
What matters now
For now, the priority is simple: keep the world clear, carefully filed, and human-led.
The Oracle is a future tool. Vaelinya remains a written world first.
